Back to School Math Camp: Click to expand.
Students in this program will receive 5 small-group sessions before the school year begins. Students are grouped according to the math class they will be entering. Each hour-long session will be carefully designed to reinforce and introduce the skills needed for success. Your child will walk into their next math class feeling confident and prepared! All classes are taught by Mrs. Favie, a fully credentialled math teacher with 28 years of classroom experience (currently teaching at PSA). Also included: select online video lessons, practice activities and materials.
Total cost: $250 (includes all 5 classes, videos and materials)
Groups limited to no more than 6 students.
Classes Available: Grade 8, Algebra 1*, Integrated Math II, Integrated Math III, Precalculus and Calculus. *FSUSD is introducing Algebra 1 to replace Math I for all grade 9 students.
Dates for Fall 2026:
Mon/Wed Sessions: July 27 and 29, Aug. 3, 5 and 10
Tues/Thurs Sessions: July 28 and 30, Aug. 4, 6 and 11
Virtual participation is highly discouraged but available.
Small Group Tutoring: Click to expand
Students in this program will attend weekly, one hour sessions during the school year. Students will be grouped by course so that all students receive relevant support. Groups are limited to a maximum of 6 students to guarantee ample time for each student to ask questions and receive personalized support. The advantage of small-group tutoring (vs. individual) is that every time one student asks a question, all students benefit. Even a student who’s shy, unprepared, or reluctant to ask questions will get the help they need. All sessions will be conducted by Mrs. Favie, a fully credentialed math teacher with 28 years of classroom experience (currently teaching at PSA).
Cost per hour-long session: $40 (a minimum of 4 sessions required)
Sessions are held Mon. – Thurs. from 4-5 (5:00 – 6:00 may also be available on select days). Contact us to determine which days/times a specific course is being held. Virtual participation is highly discouraged but available.
**NOTE: students enrolled in Mrs. Favie’s classes at PSA are NOT eligible for group or individual tutoring once school begins – it is unethical and considered a conflict of interest – sorry 🙁
Intensive Individual Math Tutoring : Click to expand
Students in this program will attend weekly, 45-minute sessions to work one-on-one with their tutor. To make the most of their time, students should come ready to learn with specific problems and/or topics they need to address. These are short bursts of efficient, high-intensity, targeted help. All tutoring sessions will be conducted by Mrs. Favie, a fully credentialed math teacher with 28 years of classroom experience (currently teaching at PSA).
Cost: $75 per 45-minute session
Days/times: as arranged. Virtual participation is highly discouraged but available.
